I purchased mine in January after a tornado hit a town in indiana at 3:00 AM and caught many who were sleeping off guard and since then it has given us piece of mind at night and while we are sleeping. on most occasions the warnings are always 7 to 10 minutes ahead of the tv and radio alerts.
The LEDS advise you if theres a warning or a watch and it also scrolls along the screen along with a very loud auduble alarm, it also has the S.A.M.E. programming so you can pinpoint the correct NOAA weather station for your town or county eliminating false alarms that may alarm you from another area or town.
After having this radio I would not be without one and this radio performs great. There is also a red strobe light that you can purchase optional that also inhances the warnings at night to catch your attention should you be sleeping this also has performed well.
Overall this radio has performed great and has alerted us of a couple of tornado warnings and has given us ample time to react and prepare.

Worth the extra money, I originally bought the Midland WR300 Weather Radio, and was so disappointed in its performance, that I went and read more of the 500+ reviews on that product. Based upon a few of the reviews, I ended up purchasing this item from Reecom, and returning the Midland.
Much better backlight (green vs the Midland’s blue), and the biggest and most important difference is its simple setup and programming compared to the Midland.
Don’t be fooled by the Midland’s high ratings.

Great radio! : Midland Consumer Radio WR-120B is a really nice radio, with a great deal at Amazon.com! My home’s household current glitches the radio on a 6-plug extender, but I fixed that by unplugging my iPad charger and the radio’s power adapter, and plugging those into the regular outlet. When the 6-plug adapter was used, the antenna had to be in a certain position (even though it’s by a window!) and now – any antenna position I want, it works like my WR-100 did – like a charm. It hasn’t sounded yet, so I don’t have a full review. (It came on test day, but wasn’t opened until quarter of 3 PM. I’d recommend this radio to anyone who needs a radio and is WORTH EVERY PENNY!

Cool Model without Advertisments, TomTom VIA 1535T I received this unit yesterday so it`ll take a while before i review everything but for quick review ( as they aren`t many Yet) .Its great unit with no Ads on live traffic , Very fast satellite signal even in areas crowded heavily by buildings.unit really offer more routes as advertised .when i traveled from NYC to Boston using this Gps my travel time was 15 min less then usual, to same destination, compared to directions by Nuvi.Screen is quite thin (as you see on image).Interface (unlike GO models)is basically same as older models offered and very responsive.Cool feature about interface is,It flips like IPad when rotate unit 360 degree.Voice commands worked fine though need to change default voice. it sounds really Tronish.Built in stand is more robust and has more sticking power then previous unit. it can easily adhere itself to windshield and dashboard with no problem.blue tooth i didn`t test Yet.

TomTom VIA 1505:In the past, I have owned or used a variety of GPS units. My last GPS unit was stolen from my car. I know that I shouldn’t have left in the car, but I have learned a lesson for my laziness. Therefore, I needed to buy a new GPS unit due to my work as a medical transport officer. I reviewed about every brand of GPS units out there and kept coming back to the TomTom 1505TM 5-inch Navigator. I was leary at first to get this unit, but it was advertised to have about every feature that I needed. I said…What the Heck…and bought the TomTom 1505TM 5-inch Navigator. It came last Saturday and I needed to use it as soon as it showed up at my door. Setting it up was so easy, I was thinking…Did I miss something? The screen is very clear and the directions were FIRST CLASS. It even steered me around an accident so that my trip would not be delayed. I needed to stop for lunch and I was sure that my little sandwich joint would not be on it, but I programed it into my TomTom and ALAS…there it was. I was so Very impressed.
Later in the day I swung around my son’s house and had to show him my new TomTom. He is a confirmed Garmin user and thinks all other brands are just a waste of money. We put my TomTom in his car and drove around. He wanted to give it a rigid test and compare it to his Garmin. After he did several maneuvers on my TomTom (A few, I’m sure, to cause my TomTom to malfunction), even he was impressed and admitted that my TomTom outperformed ANY of the Garmin GPSs that he has owned.
