Great tv with a great value.
first 1080p tv. bought from bestbuy so as expected we paid about $80 more from what is the listed price here on amazon. out of the box, tv looks ok. i’ve seen lots of tv’s with prettier bezel than this from other brands. but not really a big deal. looking at it from the sides, its obvious that it is abit thicker (maybe 3in) than those upscale lcds or led-lcd’s(note an LED tv is just a LCD tv but with a different back lighting). still its fine for me, i was like “does a TV 2in thicker make our living room that much crowded?” well no. so overall i was pleased with the tv’s aesthetics.

Great Panasonic TC-L37U22. At 37" you need a 1080, with 32" or less 720 is fine unless you are sitting closer than 4 feet. So if you are wondering if you should save a few bucks and go with 720p instead, 37" is the crossover point where 1080p is much better choice because you will see the difference at average viewing distances. Also, at 37" or larger you really need to start investing in blu-ray DVD’s since at this size regular DVD’s don’t view sharply – blu-ray is a 1080 format, regular DVD’s are not.

Best I’ve ever owned, picture really grabs you
we already had 4 HDTVs when I bought this one on 5/2/10- Sony 46", Sharp Aquos 65", Samsung Touch of Color 52", and Panasonic plasma 58". All but the Sony are less than 2 years old- and all look good. But that Samsung Touch of Color really stood out. The picture has always been a real step above the others. So, we went to Best Buy to look at the latest Samaungs, and ended up buying this one.
